MonteMaria’s poverty alleviation and other empowerment programs responds to a present-day phenomenon of extreme poverty brought about by various societal conditions that cause heavy marginalization and imbalanced development.  It joins the journey of the poor towards their welfare and total well-being as manifestation of genuine human progress of our global community .  The programs are founded on the principles of total human development in an advancement consistent to man’s inherent multi-dimensional capabilities and capacities coming from the Creator that are meant for human progress and growth.

The International Center for the Poor transcends human differences like races and beliefs.  It embraces and promotes charity, justice,  peace and integrity of creation as the only means for social transformation and human development.  It bridges economic gaps at family or community levels through networking with other institutions who values the same spirit of sharing and participation in the common cause of building a healthy world for our international community.
